Silicate monitoring in process water

Silicates in process water are a variety of silicon compounds that are defined as salts of orthosilicic acid. In industrial processes, silicates can cause deposits and corrosion. An important process in which silicates in process water are undesirable is the cleaning, disinfection and downstream sterilisation of medical devices. Therefore, silicate measurement is of particular importance in order to eliminate them as far as possible in the water introduced and thus ensure the protection of the instruments/medical devices and equipment.
